The Best Way to Perform Google Searches

I am a huge fan of Google searches. However, I have noticed recently that Google's page ranks are often manipulated. This may be interesting, but not very useful when trying to find important information. So, here are some tips for performing searches that might actually prove to be useful.

Search #1 Using the site: command.
Example:

autism site:*.edu

This searches all sites with the edu domain for the word autism. I find this type of search useful because edu, org, gov, mil and other domains are usually not trying to sell you bunk.

Search #2 Using the allintitle: command.
Example:

allintitle:autism research

This searches only the text that appears in the blue title bar at the top of you browser. This type of search is effective because it reduces the number of searchable words in a site down to the bare bones minimum.
